Don’t you like getting drenched in the rains?
With rivers in full swing and valleys decorated with beautiful flowers, monsoons turn India into a picturesque landscape.
The India Meteorological Department (or IMD) has officially confirmed the onset of the Southwest Monsoon.
Let’s take a look at what IMD has to say about it:
- This year, the southwest monsoon has set in on 3rd June as against the usual date of 1st June
- In the Indian subcontinent, the period from June to September is referred to as the ‘Southwest Monsoon ‘period
- The monsoon is likely to advance to the remaining parts of India in the next 2-4 days
- The IMD has predicted an average rainfall for this year; however, it will not be equal for all parts of the country
Curl up in your favourite blanket, sip your hot brew and watch the rain pattering down!
