The mightiest planet of the solar system, Jupiter, is nothing short of a ball of wonder!
We have all seen images of Jupiter wrapped in vanilla and butterscotch-coloured bands.
However, that image is just under regular light. It turns out that Jupiter can look quite different.
Concurrent observations show that this giant gas changes its appearance dramatically when exposed to ultraviolet and infrared radiations. A video captured recently shows Jupiter sporting a fiery orange in infrared light and a bluish pink in UV light.
Currently, the Juno spacecraft, which has been orbiting Jupiter since 2016, is studying the planet to understand what goes on in finer details.
All we need to do is wait for our researchers to discover more interesting facts about this incredible planet. But this beautiful sight of Jupiter changing its stripes is definitely one for the bucket list!
